A littel bit of cuteness for your wall!
These Tawny chicks became separated from their parents (different nests) when they fell out of a tree during a storm.
Tawny’s build really flimsy nests that get blown down when bad weather hits. If they have more than one chick it’s really difficult to reunite as the chick has to be put back with the other chick otherwise the parents wont feed if at a different location.
They also build their nests really high so logistically it’s not always possible if you can’t get hold of an arborist.
These two are special as they are actually being fed by wild adults at night. The wildlife carer puts them high in a tree. This is such a great outcome as they will learn all of those survival skills like hunting insects on the wing.
