Who else is in awe of bird feathers let alone black cockatoo ones!
This photograph looks more like a painting or drawing. Each feather has been individually photographed using a macro lens to pick up every single delicate detail.
Angela then composited the 3 feathers together in an arrangement likened to if the feathers had naturally fallen.
Printed on to fine art thick cotton paper really brings out the illustrative qualities, making this the perfect art piece for your wall.
These tail feathers were naturally moulted out by a Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo who Angela rescued and then raised/nursed back to health for 2 years.
This art piece was created especially for the Foundation and Friends of the Royal Botanical Gardens Wild Thing Exhibition. It was also part of "Parrots" exhibition, for BirdLife Australia Bird Week.
